Poker Proudness
My father is a professional poker player, has been for years and ten years ago I never even new what a royal flush was. We have gambled together for years and generally in life have never amounted to much in my father's eyes as I am on disability.
We went to Seattle for a holiday and played at their casinos had fun but nothing spectacular. We played in two tourneys of about 50 players and $40 buy in, the first one I got anteed out and the second one I played very well. Before the poker tournament I seek some advice from some people who have already won a few tourneys and they gave me the advice never play your cards but play the table and players.
About the start of the poker game I went all in on a pair of 7s and someone called me he had 9s, well a seven came up and I tripped, feeling like lady luck was on my side I played a little loose with my chips.
It got down to two tables from 5 and we were going to make it, in our table there were about 7 people all in on the pot and I had high pair with no face cards showing anyhow I split the pot and knocked out 5 people after that I scared everyone out
I remember having pocket aces and blinds were 32,000 and 16,000 there were three of us I simply called and on the flop had trips so I checked, my opponent was pot committed and went all in I instantly called and won the poker tourney my father for once in his life was so proud of me he bragged about that moment to this day I won $500 American dollars but I would had gladly given anything, to see the pride my father had for me that day.
